Opening day dominance

In perhaps the most comfortable opening day conditions imaginable, the East Carolina baseball team opened its season just as comfortably on Friday afternoon.

With temperatures in the mid 70s at Clark-LeClair Stadium, the Pirates cashed in a slew of early runs and then rode the shoulders of senior starting pitcher Seth Maness to an 11-3 victory over Youngstown State.
