East Carolina men’s basketball coach Jeff Lebo said he wanted his team to get the majority of its points in the paint against Virginia-Wise on Saturday.

His players listened.


The Pirates dominated the interior, and pretty much everywhere else on the Minges Coliseum hardwood, while beating the NAIA Cavaliers 91-56. It was ECU’s fifth consecutive victory and one of the easiest of the season, which continues Wednesday at Southern Miss in the Conference USA opener.
