East Carolina's Seth Simmons was quick to respond on Friday when he was jokingly asked how it felt to be entering his 10th year of college baseball eligibility.

“It's gone by quick, to be honest,” said Simmons, one of a handful of senior pitchers on the ECU baseball team, which began practice on Friday. “You look back and I feel like I was just a freshman, but now I'm a senior.”

Simmons, ECU's closer, has been through plenty of practices at Clark-LeClair Stadium, but things are different for Greenville's Chase McDonald, who was preparing for his senior season at J.H. Rose at this time last year.
