One of the toughest techniques to learn in all of sports is forgetting.
Like most or all of his East Carolina football teammates, inside linebacker Jeremy Grove spent Saturday night replaying images of his team’s 56-28 manhandling at the hands of Navy, and with those replays came some common questions.
“I was thinking things like did we prepare enough during the week, did we really do everything we could have, did we really run to the ball as hard as we could have on every play, just questioning yourself and everything that we were doing throughout the week,” said Grove, a sophomore who leads the 5-4 Pirates with 61 tackles.
