It’s a nice challenge to move on from the good feeling of a victory to the next game on the schedule, as East Carolina players are expected to do. Getting losses like the Pirates’ 40-20 blowout at the hands of UCF last week out of their systems in one day is a little tougher.
“It’s hard, especially because Central Florida is a game every year that’s pretty hostile, a rivalry game for us,” ECU wide receiver Justin Jones said of trying to honor the team’s 24-hour rule. “You just always want to beat Central Florida, and they got us this time.”
