Pirates set to begin busy stretch

Pitching depth has been a strength for the East Carolina baseball team and that depth will get tested to the fullest extent this week.

The Pirates play five games in a six-day span, beginning with tonight's contest at rival N.C. State. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.


ECU coach Billy Godwin said on Monday that senior Zach Woods (1-2, 3.98 ERA) will start tonight's game with freshman Austin Chrismon (0-0, 1.35 ERA) scheduled to make his second career start Wednesday against Elon.
