East Carolina got a big jolt of electricity on Tuesday night after beginning the season a little short on power.

ECU catcher Zach Wright blasted the fourth grand slam of his career — just the third home run by the Pirates in seven games this season — to boost his team to a 7-4 victory over Campbell at Clark-LeClair Stadium.


ECU right-hander Shawn Armstrong turned in a solid first start of the season, pitching six innings and overcoming a rocky opening frame to notch his first win of the campaign.
