Greenville ready to host another Beast

On Wednesday, Pitt-Greenville Soccer Association President Greg Sandy said he felt confident the 23rd installment of the Beast of the East youth soccer tournament was not going to be affected by weather.

By Friday afternoon, those thoughts had changed.

The annual tournament will begin today but finish next weekend as East Carolina’s North Recreational Sports Complex will not be playable this weekend because of Friday’s early downpour.
