SPENCER — The Ayden-Grifton wrestling team is a win away from reaching the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1-A state finals after winning two matches on Tuesday.

After defeating Southwest Onlsow, 50-30, in the first round, the Chargers edged out host North Rowan, 37-36. Full results were not available.

Ayden-Grifton will next face Dixon on Thursday in the regional finals. The site for the match will be announced today.
