The past month has been a whirlwind for Tim Carter.

Carter was promoted to head coach of the South Central Falcons when former head coach Walt Davis announced his resignation in early July.

Since then, the former Falcon defensive assistant has been charged with settling in to the head coach position and getting his team ready for its season-opener, all in about five weeks.
