It’s time to take a look back at the top stories in our local area, plus a couple of others from the outside golfing world, too.

No. 10. A new superstar could be in the making. Five-year-old Will Guidry, playing in the U.S. Kids Golf Myrtle Beach Fall Tour, came within a hair of winning the championship of the event in December. But for a mistake, he would have done so. On the final hole of the championship, his putt struck another player’s ball and the penalty dropped him into third place. He finished tied for the tour title, but lost in the tie-breaker to finish second.
