Liberty Tax Service offices will be holding Educator Appreciation Days from Feb. 27 to March 4 for area teachers, school employees and bus drivers.

New customers will receive free tax preparation. Returning customers will get a 50 percent discount.

Eligible educators who spend money on classroom supplies may qualify for a tax break. An eligible educator is a teacher for kindergarten through 12th grade, instructor, counselor, principal or aide who works at least 900 hours in either a public or private school. The adjustment for these expenses, of no more than $250, can be claimed whether or not the taxpayer can itemize.
