After an extensive national search that began last August, North Carolina Wesleyan College has selected Michael B. Brown as the new provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.

Brown serves as professor of psychology and associate dean of the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences at East Carolina University.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Brown will be joining us as provost,” N.C. Wesleyan President James Gray said. “We conducted a careful search for the right combination of academic and administrative skills needed to enhance our college. It worked out wonderfully that an experienced educator of Dr. Brown’s stature was just 45 minutes away in Greenville.”
