Dr. Samuel M. Atkinson Jr. has retired from Carolina Women’s Physicians P.A.

Atkinson has been a physician at Carolina Women’s Physicians since April 2009.

A native of Conway, S.C., Atkinson’s medical career spans almost 50 years. During his time at Carolina Women’s Physicians, he concurrently served as a professor emeritus at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He spent more than 20 years prior to joining Carolina Women’s Physicians as a full-time professor and associate professor.
