Dr. Glen Gilbert, dean of the College of Health and Human Performance, has been named interim vice chancellor for advancement at East Carolina University effective Jan. 14.
Gilbert has been dean of the College of Health & Human Performance since 1999. Under his leadership the college has grown from approximately 50 to now more than 100 full-time faculty members and added several degree programs including an interdisciplinary doctoral degree in bioenergetics.
Gilbert is now the longest-serving dean at East Carolina University and served as interim vice chancellor for research and graduate studies in 2005.
