Grant Barker has been promoted to branch manager of the First South Bank branch on Fire Tower Road.

He will be responsible for consumer and mortgage lending, business development and overseeing branch operations.

Barker, a Winterville native, began his career with First South in November 2007 as a customer service associate at Greenville’s Fire Tower Road branch location. He was promoted in June 2009 to customer service manager and again in May 2010 to his most recent position, financial services associate. He is attending East Carolina University, pursing a degree in business administration.
