Tar Heel Home Health, which has been serving Pitt county and surrounding areas for 30 years, announced that it has changed its name to Gentiva Home Health.

A member of the Gentiva home health care family of companies since February 2006, the name change more reflects the relationship and resources of being a part of a national leader in home health care, a news release said.

“This change is in name only,” Branch Director Sandy Bullock said. “We will continue to deliver the highest level of caring, personalized service that our patients and their families have come to expect over the years.
