FARMVILLE — Members of the Riverside High School cross country team continue to establish new records and personal bests this season.
The Riverside boys defeated Farmville Central 25-31 in a nonconference cross country meet Thursday (Dec. 10).
Riverside’s Noah Nicholson and Stephen Eure placed second and third with times of 19:42 and 20:29, respectively.
Jyqwaille Williams established a new personal-best time of 21:06, putting him fifth overall.
Shane Griffin was seventh (21:35), Cole Baker was eighth (21:55) and Dillon Taylor tied his personal-best time of 22:20 in finishing 10th overall for the Knights.
“We continue to show improvement,” said Riverside head coach Mark Cagle. "Today’s course was wet and mushy, which helped to keep times from being better than they were.”
On the girls side, Riverside’s Briley Bickerstaff completed the course in 19:47 while Alyssa Roscoe finished in 27:02.
