The Greenville Police Department is investigating after a man showed up at the hospital Sunday with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police reported that the man arrived at Vidant Medical Center by private vehicle after 9 p.m. His injuries were not life threatening but an incident report listed them as major.

The report said that the incident occurred at a residence on the 900 block of Fleming School Road off of Belvoir Highway. The victim, a 20-year-old, was shot once with a handgun.

The shooting appears to be a targeted incident, the department said. It remained under investigation on Monday.
