The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Greenville woman on drug charges after a three-month investigation into the sale of cocaine, according to a news release issued on Friday.
Deawnette Davenport, 38, was arrested by deputies with the special operations unit, special response team and a K9 Unit, when they executed a search warrant at 514 McKinley Ave., the release said.
During the search on Thursday detectives seized more than $1,300 in cash and a small amount of marijuana. During the investigation approximately 1.5 grams of cocaine were purchased from the home, the release said.
While executing the search warrant, citizens in the area thanked deputies for enforcement actions on activities at the residence, the release said.
Davenport was charged with on felony count of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine and three felony counts of conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine.
She was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.
