A Greenville man charged with driving while impaired injured another person after he failed to the yield right of way and pulled out in front of another vehicle, according to Pitt County court records and a Greenville Police Department crash report.

Keyvin Jay Dixon, 28, of 405 Wedgewood Drive, was stopped at 4:39 a.m. on Nov. 28 near Arlington Boulevard and N.C. 11 by the Greenville Police Department.

According to the crash report, Dixon was traveling eastbound on Arlington Boulevard at 35 mph in a 2018 Chevrolet passenger car and struck a 2008 Ford SUV driven by Lois Agnes Clow of Greenville. Clow’s vehicle was traveling southbound at 45 mph.

Clow told police officers that she had a green light and while traveling through the intersection, Dixon struck her.

Dixon later admitted to drinking and told police he did not know what happened.

Clow was injured and taken to Vidant Medical Center. Dixon was uninjured.

Dixon’s vehicle sustained $2,000 in estimated damages and Clow’s vehicle sustained $3,000 in estimated damages.

Dixon also had slurred speech, was disoriented, had trouble standing and failed sobriety tests. His blood alcohol level was 0.09.

Ten other people also were charged with driving while impaired, according to court records and law enforcement reports available between Nov. 24 and Dec. 1

Stephen Washington Andrews

  • , 46, of 137 High St., Phoenixville, Penn., was stopped at 2:19 p.m. on Nov. 28 near N.C. 11 and Reedy Branch Road by the Winterville Police Department. He was observed driving down the wrong side of the road. He had an odor of alcohol on his breath and red, glassy eyes. His blood alcohol level was 0.09.

Tiffany Nicole Barrett

  • , 25, of 359 S. George St., Farmville, was stopped at 2:25 p.m. on Nov. 29 near N.C. 11 and Reedy Branch Road by the Winterville Police Department. She also was clocked at 92 mph in a 60 mph zone before being stopped. She had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, and glassy and watery eyes. She also admitted to drinking alcohol. Her blood alcohol level was 0.08.

Kawaan Diarra Britt

  • , 36, of 1301 E. Main St., Murfreesboro, was stopped on Nov. 28 at 1:03 a.m. near Brown Road by the State Highway Patrol. He was observed driving in the middle of the road. He had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. His blood alcohol level was 0.10.

Douglas Karl Mim

  • , 30, of 1157 Frankie Coburn Road, Greenville, was stopped on Nov. 30 at 2:41 a.m. on U.S. 264 Alternate by the State Highway Patrol. He had slurred speech, a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and was cited for going 76 in a 55 mph zone.

Deven Leslie Nicholson

  • , 22, of 2941 Dickinson Ave., Greenville, was stopped at 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 27 near West Arlington Boulevard and N.C. 11 by the Greenville Police Department. He failed to turn his headlights on and had a container of alcohol in his vehicle. His blood alcohol level was 0.07.

Carlos Manuel Zambrano-Peralta,

  • 39, of 3915 Sterling Pointe Drive, Winterville, was stopped at 3 a.m. on Nov. 28 near Old N.C. 11 and Reedy Branch Road by the Ayden Police Department. He failed to stop at a checkpoint and had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He also had slurred speech and red, glassy eyes. His blood alcohol level was 0.18.

Nkosi Umliwane Powell

  • , 24, of 813 Walker Ave., Elizabeth City, was stopped on Nov. 28. at 12:37 a.m. near N.C. 903 by the State Highway Patrol. He had red, glassy eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He was also cited for going 71 in a 55 mph zone. His blood alcohol level was 0.09.

Carl Bernard Reid

  • , 56, of 128 Concord Drive, Apt. 8, Greenville, was stopped on Nov. 29 at 10:03 p.m. near Hooker Road by the State Highway Patrol. He had bloodshot eyes, an odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech. His blood alcohol level was not available.

Kara Victoria Robinson

  • , 24, of 265 Crimson Drive, Winterville, was stopped on Nov. 30 by the Winterville Police Department. The time and location of stop were not available. She had red, glassy eyes. Her blood alcohol level was 0.15.

Lauren Nicole Weaver, 37, of 580 Baywood Drive, Winterville, was stopped at 12:24 a.m. on Nov. 27 near Fire Tower Road and Evans Street by the Greenville Police Department. She had red, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol on her breath. She was also involved in a crash and was unsteady on her feet. Her blood alcohol level was 0.25.
