Greenville police are looking for a suspect who robbed a man at gunpoint, took items inside the his home and stole his car.

According to a Greenville Police Department case report, the robbery took place Wednesday shortly after 1 a.m. in the 500 block of Brighton Park Drive.

The 35-year-old victim told police a robber approached him as he was walking to his apartment, police department spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said.

Hunter said the victim told police that the man pulled a gun and forced him inside an apartment in the 500 block of Brighton Park Drive.

Once inside, the gunman stole an iPhone 8, an iPhone 6s, .45-caliber pistol, an HP laptop, keys and a pair of AirPods, all valued at $1,500.

The gunman also stole the victim's 2013 Toyota Camry valued at $5,000. It was later recovered in a parking lot behind the Nash Street gym.

A police K-9 then tracked from the car to the area of Moyewood, but Hunter said the man was not located.

The robber was describes as 19-year-old black man who is approximately 130 pounds and has a mustache.

No injuries were reported in the incident and Hunter said she did not know if or how the victim and the robber knew each other.

100 block Ridge Place, 5 p.m. Sept. 17: 32-year-old woman assaulted by spouse; case inactive.

2300 block South Memorial Drive, 8:40 p.m. Sept. 17: 23-year-old woman assaulted by boyfriend; cleared by arrest.

1500 block Hammersmith Drive, 3:43 p.m. Sept. 17: Front door of home sustained $250 in damages; case inactive.

500 block Darden Drive, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 17: Vehicle sustained $3,000 in damages; case inactive.

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office did not have any new reports available for release on Tuesday or Wednesday.
