Greenville police made a quick arrest following a bank robbery on Tuesday morning.
The BB&T bank located at 514 Greenville Blvd., S.E., was robbed about 10 a.m. The suspect entered the bank, passed a note to the teller and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release from the Greenville Police Department.
Officers established a perimeter and within 10 minutes of the initial call, they spotted an individual matching the suspects’ description in the area of the Greenville Mall, the release said.
The suspect, 36-year-old William Matthew Rouse of Ayden, ran from officers and was apprehended inside the Belk store. The stolen money was recovered.
Rouse faces robbery charges, according to the release.
