As a moderate I am certainly disappointed with our choices for president of the United States. Trump’s tweets and methods of governing certainly do not resonate with me.

Yet, on the Democratic side there is no moderate candidate left. Reps. John Delaney and Tim Ryan both defended capitalism and free enterprise and had other positions that would have had me consider them as choices. Unfortunately they are no longer candidates.

The rest of the field has gone so far to the left, including Joe Biden, that I could not support any of them. Bernie Sanders bashes capitalism and millionaires, yet only in America could he write a book about socialism that made him a multimillionaire.

The rest of the bunch rails against corporate America and challenges many of the freedoms that we so cherish as Americans. Their solution is government control of everything and the government pays for everything. If you look at other countries where that is currently happening (China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea etc.) their government-controlled solutions are scary and unchangeable.

Hopefully we will have other choices but at this point in time I will hold my nose and vote for Trump.
