The nearly 500-pound blue marlin weighed in by the Hatteras-based boat Predator on Monday night remained the first-place catch after Thursday’s action at the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City.

Fishing action continues today and runs through Saturday.

Predator’s 494-pound fish was just bigger than second-place Garner boat Hatter-Done, which weighed in a 488-pounder on Monday afternoon, and third-place Dancin Outlaw and its 470-pound entry.

In fourth and fifth place, with 450-pound fish, are Hammer Time and Reel Steel, respectively, while the highly publicized catch by Michael Jordan’s boat Catch-23 remains in sixth.
