Morgan Printers earns Best in Category in PICA Awards

Morgan Printers recently received the award for Best in Category from the Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA) for its entry in the 2012 PICA Awards competition.

The announcement was made at an awards banquet with more than 300 industry professionals in attendance. Morgan Printers’ winning entry was the Pitt Community College annual report titled “2012 Report to the Community — Progress and Innovation.”


The 20-page printed piece — plus cover and insert — was among 643 entries and was judged on: registration, crossovers, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery and overall visual effect.
